Wedge Homes has remained a family-owned development company. We’ve built hundreds of homes across North London and the Home Counties, with sites varying from small blocks of flats, large bespoke houses, to larger housing estates.
Quality of build has always been at the heart of every development, and we maintain a highly reliable team of craftsmen to build every property.

Wedge Homes Ltd is part of the Wedge Group of companies, founded in 1923 by Ernest Wedge, known as Joe, in White Hart Lane, Tottenham.
Terry, Joe’s son, expanded the original roofing contracting business across London and the Midlands and moved into the roofing merchanting business and property development sectors in the 1970s.
Terry’s son James joined the business in 1984 and focused on expanding the merchant business, eventually selling to SIG PLC in 2005 and simultaneously buying into Chandlers Building Supplies, becoming partners with the Cope family, and together they built a fifteen-depot business with sales in excess of sixty million pounds. That business was sold to Independent Builders Merchant Group in 2019. James has recently invested in Dontel Roofing Supplies, with depots in Hoddesdon, Bishops Stortford, Rainham and Nottingham, with new locations planned for opening next year.
